Youth Corp Movement

Introduction

“How can we first class passengers of Spaceship Earth possibly think or act with good and sincere intentions toward the assurance of the well being of human destiny without having the same intentional thoughts and actions toward the well being of children?
For nearly four decades (thirty eight years to be exact), as a 21st Century Philosopher and staunch Child Advocate my thoughts and actions clearly indicate that the cultivation of health, education, welfare, well being and happiness of children is the greatest human investment toward the reality of a greater tomorrow.
Without a shadow of doubt, children are the better constructs of a greater future, and certainly the most reliable architects of human destiny!”
“Without children destiny will be something else other than human!”

When chronological dates such as 2075 and the year 2100 are mentioned it short circuits the minds and imaginations of the majority of today’s adults. Their imaging and creative processes are not programmed to think pass the human lifespan; whereas children on the other hand, don’t have such mental limitations. Their creativity and imagination is unbridled by conventional wisdom, emotional constraints and cultural conformity. Children still possess their secret worlds of make believe, with strong imaginations as creative as Nature and as wild as the wind. But what will these future adults of tomorrow think and say about the adults of today, in the year 2100? Will they say how selfish and irresponsible we were by leaving them a polluted planet and such a deplorable human condition? Or will they say how humane and loving we were for properly preparing them to successfully survive and properly address the conditions of both our wonderful planet and our precious human race, in their era? I for one would much prefer that they say the latter! Therefore I have already initiated a lengthy step in that direction. I call my initiative “The Endangered Specie Movement for Children.”
I realize that the phase endangered specie represents a meaning that is more conventionally associated with lower kingdoms of life, such as plants and animals. But the true meaning of the word endangered refers to any person, place or thing that exists in harms way, or that which faces the potential conditions and circumstances that threatens the very existence of life. Children are facing such perilous conditions and circumstances of a monster that I very appropriately call – the surprisingly unsuspecting “Future,” or what Alvin Toffler has coined – “Future Shock.”

Children are inheriting a world obsessed by the awesome power of force and the privileges of plenty and pleasure – a world driven by hidden agendas of schematic conspiracies of traditional secret ideologies, which have governed and guided the hearts, minds, and behavior patterns of elite men for ages. These men are appropriately rewarded with abundance of wealth, high prestige, safeguarded lifestyles, and above the law privileges for their loyal commitment to the continuing success of their world wide schemes, in the name of brotherhood. This ruthless disregard for human life for the sake of World Order, combined with the vulnerability of the world’s stockpiles of mass destructive nuclear weapons; the transmutation of incurable virulent strands; the inevitable collision of asteroids and space debris; the inhabitant condition of our planet; the rapid descending of human consciousness, and the dehumanization of humanity, in my mind constitutes an endangerment to children of the future.
Saving children from the endangerments of a perilous civilization, demands far greater solutions than just security, food, clothing, shelter, welfare and toys; preparing children to survive successfully; evolve intelligently; prosper emotionally; approach the future insightfully, and steer human destiny Divinely is a human endeavor of monumental proportion. Just the blueprints, engineering and financing alone comprises a task of gigantic human enterprise; not to mention the hurdles of government, religion and politics, including the barriers of ignorance that such a project would have to face and overcome. How would such a crucial project raise its importance above the agendas of war in government, worship in religion, and wealth in politics? And how would the ignorant masses think, feel and react to a human endeavor that did not prioritize their conditions and circumstances of suffering and deprivation? This is just the tip of the iceberg of the complexity involved in human salvation. The first and most important step is to draw an agreeable conclusion that saving the human race is a human responsibility, not the obligation of an unearthly messiah, or an external God, but rather the God within us!
