Utopian concepts and ideologies of tomorrow have come and gone with the minds and characters that created them. Each thinker is restricted of his power to realize the construct of his dream or the content of his creative imagination by the vanguards of conventional reality or by the lack of resources needed for construction. The human imagination makes quantum leaps beyond the perimeters of physical reality. It generates visionary forms that claim no specific dimensions of manifestation. When conventional familiarity faces creative unfamiliarity the status quo is highly alarmed and the creators of imaginary forms become subjects of public scrutiny. The marching progress of science, its technology and useful inventions has created a friendly welcome mat for creative ideas of unfamiliarity.
Never before has such a level of freedom of speech, belief and expression existed throughout all classes of a society. And never before has civilization offered its futurists such dynamic scientific and technological means of achieving their visions.
Utopians of yesterday would roll over in their graves to be living in America in the 21st century, owning a laptop computer with software capable of facilitating their wildest imaginations. I consider myself to be a very, very fortunate utopian futurist.
Zodiac City was conceived as a futuristic metropolis of spirituality – an environment specifically designed to accommodate human development and the cultivation of human destiny. Zodiac City is a utopian concept of the highest possible construct of civilization. Its primary objective is the production of greater human beings without the obstructions of social ills and human vices. Culture was the primary concern of the city’s social development. A pre-figurative culture operated by an administrative and political hierarchy of youth was particularly chosen. The human brain is the zenith of human evolution; its stages of evolutionary development dictate the circumstances and conditions of humanity. It is the power of thought that makes the brain the most important organism on earth. A pre-figurative culture cultivates the process, art and science of thinking among youth before they are conformed by a conspiracy of anti-intellectualism engineered by adult society. Since the brain’s next stage of evolution is the sixth sense (intuition) there must be brains young enough to manage such a dynamic brain transformation. For our present materialistic culture to shift from physical values to spiritual values; our mental perception to elevate from intellectual to intuitive, and our scientific investigation to move beyond the proving grounds of observation, a social revolution would definitely have to engage within our social structure. Such a mode of change would be consequential and result in a stagnate stage of social progression. A quantity of precious time would be obstructed from qualitative expressions. If we are to focus upon the intelligent navigation of human destiny we must concentrate our energy and efforts toward the greater development of the instrument of navigation – the human brain. We only use a small fraction of our brain because our lifestyle and circumstances of life only demands such a small amount of utility.
The construction of a new society; a new socialism; a new pattern of thought and behavior; a new system of economics; a new system of values; a new perspective of love and relationships; a new standard of what it means to be human, and a new purpose, reason and meaning for living will be initiated within a pre-figurative culture without the opposition of special interest.
Life in the town of Zodiac City will be centralized upon progressivism. Progressive education will be mandatory on a continuing base as long as a citizen occupies residence in the city. Learning will be a non-stop concept from womb to tomb. Self-development (self-consciousness, self-confidence, self-discipline, self-worth, self-respect, self-esteem), although part of our spiritual curriculum, is a individual responsibility of personal growth. The realization of the existence of an Infinite Mind of Intelligence and the reality of the human soul will be a mode of achievement through spiritual education rather than means of religiosity.
The social system of Zodiac City will operate by city officials between the ages of 13 and 20 years old. By spiritual educating and mentally developing the young they will be capable of acquiring mental powers of intuitive consciousness. By intuitively understanding the wisdom of modernity and interpreting its truth into human reality, youth will rise to a greater and more advanced form of society. (Adults participating in Zodiac City politics will only serve as consultants, assistants and judiciary officials)
At the age of 21 a Zodiac City citizen is expected to be a polished product of our human experiment. He or she will reenter conventional society as a productive, educated, disciplined and intelligent socialite. Such human specimen is expected to have significant impact upon the betterment of the human condition.
Zodiac City's industrialization will be entertainment. Zodiac Pictures, Zodiac Park, Omega Entertainment & Agency and The University of Nungkyyii will fuel the economic life of our utopian city.
